Jofti is developed by Wintermute Ltd in the United Kingdom. The company was formed by developers to produce software for other developers.

Wintermute's developers have worked for many years in consulting and in-house software development environments and are committed to producing useful, quality software to solve problems that it is not always possible to address as part of the business software development lifecycle (as we are well aware of the pressures on professional developers in a corporate environment).

Open Source Development

Wintermute's developers are also very active in the Open Source community and have contributed to:

• XDoclet: the ID generation code used in the EJB auto-id utility code.
• JGroups: the encyption protocol layer for Public/Private key and Symmetric encryption of messages.
• JBossCache: the Optimistic locking code (with Manik Surtani from JBoss).
• JGUID: an opensource UUID generator for EJBs.
• Contributed code for use in the EJB Design Patterns Book by Floyd Marinescu.
